Built in 1920’s as residence for the King’s advisor, but abandoned for almost 100 years, this Palace was the essence of local heritage, silently waiting to be awaken in the 21st century, becoming the new landmark of Tangier as destination.

The historical architectural details encountered in the existing Palace, the magnificent light that passes through the ancient 3 floors skylight in the atrium, and the impeccable workmanship found in all decorative elements of the building articulates the mystery and singularity for reinventing the Tazi Palace and transport it to a new era respecting his original identity.

A meticulous design to preserve the Historical Palace and the most innovative design solutions to expand the property with new buildings are the perfect combination between eras that will be brought back to live and given back to the city of Tangier, enhancing the rich culture and history of Morocco.

Guest arrival journey is, it self, a traditional casbah experience, trespassing the fortress gates into a secret garden that will lead the guest through a pathway until the main door, where its traditional lattice screen will be the threshold prior to the richness and elegance of the re-purposed Lobby atrium, the core of the building where ancient and modern encounters.

The mystery journey continues through the different spaces, transitioning between open plazas, traditional courtyards and sophisticated green features full of details to be discovered. Evoking a time travel, we transit from the Palace adapting to the ancient steeped plot, to the naturally shaped and designed terraces that culminates in the eucalyptus woods.

An intriguing multilayer composition that conforms and articulates all the green and leisure areas in the property, respecting the wild singularity of the existing site garden.

The interior spaces are a journey of visual delights with endless enchantment.

To perpetuate the uniqueness image of Tazi Palace, original decorative elements has been recovered and refurbished. Moulding details, manually carved stones, handmade tiling mosaics or embroidery fabrics have been specifically manufactured to embrace the culture, art and craftmanship of local artisans of Tangier.

Tazi palace recovers its original splendour and trespasses time with a perfect combination of Moroccan tradition and modern design, becoming the essence of singularity in Tangier.
